In-Person Certifications

SkateIA offers in-person certifications across North America, South America, and Europe. Each certification includes:

  • One full day of on-skates training and testing
    (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

  • Comprehensive skill review, teaching breakdown, and evaluation

  • Written, skills, and teaching tests conducted during the session

Before attending, participants must complete the required online training to ensure readiness for hands-on instruction.

    Backwards Skating (pizza walk, stroking, swizzles - teach and demo)

    Parallel Turns (teach and demo)

    Crossovers in a circle (one side - demo only)

    Transitions (forwards to backwards, backwards to forwards - demo only)

    J-hook stop for quads (demo only)

    Hockey stop (just a stop and not a slide - demo only)
